Latest Obsession...Recipe!

My latest obsession lately has been something I have been making for lunch the past few days! I thought I would share it with you all, it is pretty simple and delicious!

BLT+ Sandwich

2 slices of bacon
2 slices of your favorite sandwich bread
lettuce
cheddar cheese
tomato slices
cucumber slices
avocado slices
Mayo
Butter

I am not a mayo fan really at all. I don't add it to anything especially not sandwiches or hamburgers. I only eat it in salads like chicken salad, etc. That being said I think a little mayo is good on this sandwich!

Directions:

Cook bacon in microwave until crispy.
Meanwhile, spread a thin layer of mayo on the inside of the bread. Then butter the outside. Place cheese, tomato and bacon on sandwich and grill on each side until toasted.

Take the sandwich apart and add the avocado, lettuce and cucumber. This way the cucumber and lettuce stay crisp! Enjoy with your favorite side!

24 weeks...It's great to be an Auburn Tiger!

We have made it to week 24 and time is literally flying! I can only imagine how quickly time will begin to pass once we have our baby girl here!

Week 24 started out great! If you haven't heard of Auburn's "kick six" win over Alabama to allow us to go to the SEC championship than you have probably been in hiding the past few weeks! Because of that win Tyler and I were able to go to the SEC Championship which is hosted here in Atlanta! It was so much fun and also pretty exhausting! At any rate it was a great start to week 24!

On Monday, we signed up to bring dinner to our friends. They just had twins in November and had a meal train going.  -side note: has everyone heard of mealtrain.com? This was my first experience with it and I think it is pretty neat! Anyways, we got to spend some time with our friends and hold their baby girls! They were such sweet and good babies!!

Later in the week Tyler came down with a nasty upper respiratory infection. So between me being pregnant and him feeling terrible, it's been a pretty interesting few days! Praying he will recover quickly!
Our house is really exciting right now! Sick, injured and pregnant!

How I'm feeling: I am still feeling pretty good. The last few weeks I have really noticed a lot of growth which makes things a little harder and uncomfortable. Besides that, I can't really complain! Still trying to stay active; getting to the gym at least a few times a week.

Baby: All of my apps say something different this week so, baby is somewhere in between an eggplant, an ear of corn and a cantaloupe. She is about a foot long and just over a pound in weight now!

Best moment this week: I have been feeling her move for quite a while now, but the movements lately have been so much bigger and they sometimes catch me off guard, but I absolutely love the feeling! Tyler has been able to feel her moving around a lot lately which I love! It is so much fun to just sit a feel her moving around!
Baby girl is growing away in there! 16 weeks to go!

20 Weeks Boy or Girl?!

Finally! The week we find out if we will be having a sweet baby boy or girl! I am definitely not a mom that wanted to wait until the birth to find out! I have been dying to find out for weeks now! The doctor's appointment could not have gone any better-baby was completely healthy and looked great. I was so relieved to hear that. It feels like forever in between appointments, so I always like to hear that we are still doing well.

I will say during the ultrasound, I spotted it right away. As soon as the ultrasound technician looked for the girl or boy sign, I knew what we had on our hands!

We could not be more excited in adding a sweet baby girl to our family in March!! Looks like it's ribbons and bows for this house!

How I'm feeling: I am feeling pretty great lately! The second trimester has really been wonderful so far. Definitely showing a lot more lately and people are starting to notice, which is fun!

Baby: Baby is the size of a banana this week. About 6.5 inches long and about 10.5 oz in weight.

Sucking her thumb

Can't wait to meet our little Ellis Virginia Dunaway!

19 Weeks

Saturday (Nov 1) marked the 19 week mark! This week has truly been bittersweet. While I am very excited to find out the sex of the baby at the end of the week; it has been a very hard week for my family. We lost my sweet Nana on Saturday. She was such an amazing, Godly woman and I am so proud to be able to call her my Nana. She taught me so much in life about Faith and God, most of it I didn't realize until I was much older. We have so many precious memories from growing up with Nana, coming to our volleyball games, graduations, weddings, family events, etc. She was always there to support her family with a smile. I am so thankful for the memories we can share about her, even up until the last week of her life. She will be greatly missed by our family!

While this week will be hard saying goodbye to an amazing lady whom was loved by all, I look forward to celebrating our precious baby that will bring new joy and happiness to our family!
