The House!

I wrote this last week and never got around to posting... enjoy!


We got SO much done at the house this past weekend(4/21)!! I can not wait to share before and after pictures of the inside but until then, here is a little background on the house...

Tyler and I rented an apartment for the first two years we were in Atlanta. We knew when the lease was up on this apartment we were going to buy! So we started the process by searching and searching and searching!!! Finally at the end of February we found a house we wanted to put an offer on. We got the house and 30 days later we were home owners!!

All things BLUE!

In my first post, you learned that my sister is expecting a baby, due in September! So this past weekend we took a break from all of the house renovations and yard work and made the drive down to the tiny little town of Chipley, Florida to find out if the baby was going to be a girl or a boy! I love the change of pace going from Atlanta to Chipley! We headed down on Thursday night, with a Girl gift and a Boy gift! (we had to be prepared!) I just new it was going to be a boy!! I was so excited about the boy present we had picked out!!

Those of you that know me, know how close I am to my sister, so as she is expecting her first child I am overwhemed with excitement!! My sister truly is my best friend so I am so glad that we were able to share this time with her and my brother in law. 

Here are a few pictures of the sweet baby boy! Hopefully they will come up with a name soon so we can stop calling him baby boy! :)

We can't wait to welcome our first nephew into the world!!

2012 Recap!

For those of you that do not already know Tyler and I here is a little background on our family...


Tyler and I met in early 2005, when we were in college at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He played basketball and I played volleyball, so naturally we had a lot in common. We both graduated in 2008, Tyler moved to Iceland to play professional basketball and I took a job and moved to Florida to be closer to my sister and brother in-law. Shortly after Tyler came back from Iceland he proposed and then the following February he took a job in Atlanta. We were married in June 2010 and I moved to Atlanta to be with Tyler and to start our lives here! We have loved living in Atlanta and are so happy with our lives in the big city! :)

A recap on this year so far... I will give more details in some of these areas later!


January, we found out that we are going to have a niece or nephew! We also decided that we were going to run our first Half Marathon!!


February, we started House Hunting!! This is a new area for us since we are both first time homebuyers! And we trained everyday for the Half Marathon!!


March, we found our perfect home in Dunwoody, GA, exactly where we hoped we would be able to live!! I found out that I would be moving offices to a brand new location in Alpharetta! This was great because it is closer to the new house!! Can't forget that we reached our running goal this month, we completed the Publix Half Marathon in Atlanta!


And here we are in April...Found out if we were will have a niece or nephew in September, have a ton of renovations going on at the new house, moved offices, will be moving into the new house by the end of the month!
